This site is a tribute to Bernie. He is much loved and will always be remembered fondly by so many, for the generosity, love, friendship and kindness he showed to us, and for his sense of humour and fun loving approach to life.

Always the life and soul of every occassion and ready to help anyone whatever the situation, Bernie was there.

The best Husband, Dad, Grandad, Uncle and Friend we could have asked for.  

Even when he discovered that he was so unwell, his sense of humour didn't falter.  He accepted that he was terminally ill with absolute grace and bravery, never complaining or feeling sorry for himself. He was a huge inspiration during that time to us all.  He continued cracking jokes to the end and managed to prop us all up.

In his usual style of doing everything at top speed, he wasn't at Fair Havens for long but whilst he was there, their care and attention was unbelievable.  He definitely knew he was there and was settled.  

We would like to help support Fair Havens and the amazing work that they do by helping them to help more people in their time of need like they did for Bernie and all of us.
